The Heart Behind The Art:

This month, my dad asked me three questions that helped shift my perspective and lock in with God.

What’s driving you?

Why is it driving you?

Where is it going?

I pondered these questions for a month or so, until a passage in James 3 spoke to me. This passage warns against the destructive power of bitter envy and selfish ambition. It's a stark reminder that these earthly, unspiritual desires can lead to chaos and ruin. In contrast, heavenly wisdom is pure, peace-loving, and full of mercy. It bears the fruit of righteousness, “sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.”

I realized that I had been allowing bitterness and selfish ambition to steer me. When we live by the flesh, it’s easy for things to get out of control. But as I tuned in, and let the wisdom from above drive me, things began to change.

Peace isn't merely the absence of conflict; it's a deep sense of calm and contentment. When we're driven by heavenly wisdom, we experience that kind of peace. Let's choose peace, my friend. Let's ditch the envy and selfish ambition and pursue a life filled with God's love and grace.
